and on-air material is taped through a phone service which is
completely free for you to use. The service is called
SKYPE. If you are chosen to be a featured guest on the
show, please sign-up for SKYPE at
www.skype.com so that Mike can
utilize this service for the show (makes for very high recording
quality -- much better than a phone line). To use it, all
you need is a microphone plugged into your computer. If
there is no way for you to use a microphone on your computer
(almost all computers are built for a microphone to be plugged
in), then Mike will provide you with a special phone number to call
into the show (however, the sound quality will be diminished).
Speak
Out: If you would like to share your comments and thoughts in
the "Speak Out" section of the show, simply follow the below
instructions:
All you need is a microphone built-in to your
computer or plugged into your computer. Once you sign-up for free at
www.skype.com,
you simply do a search for "Mike Domitrz" and then call him
directly from your computer (from anywhere in the world for
free).
If you've listened to the show,
then you know the "Speak Out" segment is where listeners share
their thoughts and ideas on a specific issue. If you want
to be part of the "Speak Out" segment of the show, call Mike on
SKYPE and leave a voicemail message as if you are live "on the
air." Make sure you introduce yourself at the beginning of
your message (your name and your state). Please do not
give anymore identifying information (do not say your city or
last name). Then, talk and share your ideas. Please
keep the message under one minute and thirty seconds. When
future episodes are being considered, your message will be
listened to.
When you sign-up for SKYPE, you
will be opening the entire world to call for free. SKYPE
is a service which allows you to call anyone in the world over the internet (literally, you pay nothing -- no
registration cost -- NOTHING). They do offer add-ons
(voicemail, separate phone numbers, etc... -- which you can
choose to purchase, but there is no need to do so). If you
cannot find a microphone to use on your computer (many of your
friends will probably have one), then you can call (414)
455-5470. However, your odds of getting on the show will
be less because the sound quality of the real phone number is
almost never as good as skype
